All the things to do and not do in Drafting.
- DO USE YOUR SNAPS!
- DO NOT EVER EYE OR GUESS. All drafting programs are made to be precise so be sure to use snaps whenever you work.
- DO USE ORTHO or even POLAR TRACKING. This keeps your lines straight. ORTHO will keep them straight all the time in the X or Y axis, you will have to turn it on and off as you work. POLAR TRACKING on the other hand, will let you go outside of going straight and when you choose to draw a straight line, you will need to stay on the dotted green line.
- DO NOT TRY TO DRAW A STRAIGHT LINE W/O ORTHO OR POLAR TRACKING. If you do, you will see small jaggedly lines which is a tell tale sign that your line is not straight. You will need to fix this.
- Check and DOuble Check everything you do before you send the drawing out. Whenever you finish working on a drawing and are about to print it or PDF it, do a quick once over. Then pass it on to another person on your team to do the same. Chances are you missed something like we all do and having another person check your stuff before you send will be very helpful in the project.
